MOSCOW, RUSSIA: "HOUSE ON THE EMBANKMENT"

M&A International, Ltd., designed the apartment “House on the Embankment.” M&A created a "room with a view" from every corner of the apartment by using specially made windows and doors. Striking views of the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, and Christ the Savior Cathedral are visible from the living and dining rooms, kitchen, master bedroom, jacuzzi, and winter garden. The balcony was enclosed and converted into a winter garden. Special picture windows imported from Germany create maximum sound insulation. The kitchen has a Gaggenau downdraft stove with Miele appliances and cabinets. The garbage chute was converted into a fountain and ocean aquarium through use of mirrors and blue pearl granite. Italian blue pearl granite is used in the kitchen, bar, and dining room, with the 2-meter diameter dining table, cut from a single slab of granite, weighing 230 kilograms. The master bathroom includes design work from blue and green pearl granite. Additional Features: master bedroom with large walk-in closet; large guest bedroom, guest bathroom with unique cylindrical shape; heated floors in bathrooms and winter garden; Italian light fixtures-inset wall sconces with golden reflection matching the Kremlin cupolas and chrome hanging fixture above the dining table. This project was completed in 1999.
